last year, On 21 September 2023, The office of the Controller of Examinations, Aligarh Muslim University invited applications for admission to B.A. B.Ed/ BSc B.Ed. under AMU Regular Courses, Aligarh Muslim University for session 2023-24.

For session 2024-25, Admission to the following courses has opened and those who have completed 12th can apply.

For session 2025-26, Admission to the following courses has opened and those who have completed 12th can apply. but they have to attend the NCET Examination which is taken by NTA and then fill the AMU form.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has given the responsibility to NTA to conduct the National Common Entrance Test for admission to 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/ State Universities/ Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government College, etc. for the academic session of 2025-2026.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) started a new course for Undergraduate (UG) students. i.e.; BA BEd/ BSc BEd. It is one of the new courses started in Aligarh Muslim University. It is introduced under a Four-year undergraduate program.

BA BEd/ BSc BEd is a four-year integrated program for students who have passed 12. Now it is introduced for the first time for the students of Aligarh Muslim University. To fill out the AMU BA BEd/ BSc BEd 2025 form you can watch the video or visit amucontrollerexams.com but before filling AMU Form, You need to fill out the NCET form from NTA website.

AMU vice-chancellor on 04 September on the recommendation made by the academic council has approved the introduction of a Four-year integrated teacher education Programme (ITEP) (B.A.B.Ed. & B.Sc.B.Ed. ) at Aligarh Muslim University from 2024-2025. You can fill out the form on the AMU website amucontrollerexams.com along with the NTA Website to get admission in AMU. The fee for the application form is Rs 800 which is non-refundable. Anyone can also fill out the form with a late fine of Rs 300 after 1 week of last date of form filling.

The eligibility criteria, test duration, number of seats, entrance test pattern, syllabus, and fee structure are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or an equivalent Examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate
  • OR
  • Degree/ Sanad from recognised Madarsa/ Institution with at least 50% marks (as given below in Table IX)
  • OR
  • Bridge Course – Senior Secondary School Certificate from AMU with 50% marks in aggregate
  • Note:- Candidate should refer to ‘Allowed Courses’ under ‘Important Information & Rules’ to ascertain whether s/he is permitted to apply for the course of study
  • Senior Secondary School Certificate with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics /Biology/ Geography/ Computer Science or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Note:

  1. For admission to B.Sc. (Hons/Research) with Botany/Zoology as Major Subject, the candidate should have passed Biology at the qualifying examination.
  2. For admission to B.Sc. (Hons./Research) with Physics/ Mathematics as Major Subject, the candidate should have passed Mathematics at the qualifying examination.
  3. Candidate should refer to ‘Allowed Courses‘ under “Important Information & Rules‘ to ascertain whether s/he is permitted to apply for the course of study.
  • All the candidates must appear in test conducted in Aligarh (U.P.), Lucknow (U.P.), Srinagar (J. & K.), Kolkata (W.B.), Patna (Bihar), Kozhikode (Kerala) & Khanapara (Meghalaya).

Note: Now the Examination Center of the NCET can be chosen by the student from the option that can be chosen while filling the NCET form from the NTA form. (i.e. 178 Cities )

Medium of Question Papers: Drawing from the National Educational Policy (NEP), the NCET 2025 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

The minimum duration for B.A.B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed. course in Aligarh Muslim University is 8 Semesters (4 Years) and the Maximum duration for B.A.B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed. course is 12 Semesters(6 years).

Those students who have attended the NCTE examination and have teaching aptitude there. They will also be given a chance to get selected. In the coming year, all the students will be selected in the AMU on the basis of CUET which is taken by NTA.

Marking Scheme of Examination

  1. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
  2. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
  3. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
  4. If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
  5. If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

Selection Process:

There were 7 papers which were taken in Exams and the Date of the Examination will be different, and you need to opt 7 papers of which 2 are languages, 3 Domains (Studied in 12th), General Test, and Teaching Aptitude. Entrance Test of 2 hours (125 MCQ of 1 mark each) covering the following areas:

The syllabus of B.A.B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed. is divided into 7 sections. Each section carries equal marks. There were a total of 181 questions for the B.A.B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed.

Additional Information

  1. Candidates who have appeared in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and opted for A.M.U., will also have to register on the A.M.U. website www.amucontrollerexams.com for Admission Forms, Counselling, and Admission. All such candidates will be considered for admission on the basis of their performance in the NCET as per University Policy.
  2. Candidates selected for admission to B.A.B.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed programs shall be allocated only the Major Subject based on their performance in the Admission Test. Minor Subject(s) shall be allotted by the University subject to the option available.
