The office of the Controller of Examinations, Jamia Millia Islamia invites applications for JMI BA English admission under JMI Regular Courses, Jamia Millia Islamia for session 2026-27.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) started a new course for Undergraduate (UG) students. i.e.; BA English To fill out the JMI BA English 2026 form you can watch the video or visit jmicoe.in
JMI initiated BA English program, a Regular Course. You can fill out the form on the JMI website jmicoe.in. The fee for the application form is Rs 1000 which is non-refundable.
The eligibility criteria, test duration, number of seats, entrance test pattern, syllabus, Exam Center, and fee structure is as follows:

Syllabus of JMI BA English
There shall be one objective-type paper of 100 Marks with the following components:
It has two parts i.e., Part A, and Part B that contains 3 sections
- Part A consist of – 40 multiple-choice questions on authors, books, the current literary scene in India and abroad in the faculties of Arts, Department of English Admission Test.
- Each questions consist of 1 Marks
- Part B – Consists of Essay, Unseen Passage, and Grammar. It consists of vocabulary and comprehension.
- Maximum marks: 60
- Unseen passage for comprehension: 20 marks
- Grammar and vocabulary: 10 marks
- Essay: 30 marks

Additional Information
- Admission to the BA English program will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. A merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be shortlisted for counselling and document verification.
- Hostel Accommodation will be provided to the outstation candidates on a limited basis. The hostel fee will be around Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per annum.
- The university offers scholarships to meritorious students. Candidates can apply for scholarships during the admission process.
- A common entrance test of the BA English program will be conducted irrespective of the medium and subject opted by the candidate. The entrance test paper will be printed in two languages – English, Hindi, and Urdu.
