The office of the Controller of Examinations, Jamia Millia Islamia invites applications for JMI BALLB admission under JMI Regular Courses & Self Finance, Jamia Millia Islamia for session 2025-26.

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) started a new course for Undergraduate (UG) students. i.e.; BALLB. To fill out the JMI BALLB 2025 form you can watch the video or visit jmicoe.in

JMI started a course Bachelor of Law (B.A.LL.B.) Regular and Self Finance . You can fill out the form on the JMI website jmicoe.in before 13 April 2025. The fee for the application form is Rs 1000 which is non-refundable.

The eligibility criteria, test duration, number of seats, entrance test pattern, syllabus, and fee structure is as follows:

  • Intermediate in any discipline (commerce, Science, Humanities, Arts) from any recognised board or an equivalent examination With not less than 50% marks in all core subjects and English Language put together.
  • All the candidates must appear in test conducted by Jamia, New Delhi.

Entrance Test of 2 hours (150 MCQ of 1 mark each) covering the following areas:

The syllabus of BALLB is divided into 5 Parts and has many sections. Each section carry equal marks. There were a total of 150 questions for the BALLB.

Any other information about the Jamia Law Entrance test:
The test will cover broadly five areas as mentioned above. The standard shall be of 10+2 level based on All India CBSE/ICSE or Equivalent Board.

Indicative not exhaustive syllabus:

  1. Legal Language and English including Comprehension
    Understanding of legal terms and legal maxims, phrases, their applications etc., English language skills with focus on grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation etc. and comprehension passage for drawing inferences and answering questions based on it.
  2. Current Affairs
    Important national and international events, economics, sports, awards and honors, science and technology, important days and events, important books and their authors, etc.
  3. Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning
    Basic principles of law including and covering various areas of law. Candidates are expected to apply legal rules to hypothetical situations, demonstrate legal thinking and their ability to think within legal context. Problem-solving with a focus on legal reasoning.
  4. General Studies
    History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, environmental science and development, culture and heritage of India, history of Islam, and history of Jamia Millia Islamia and it’s contribution towards nation building.
  5. Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability)
    Ratio-percentage, profit and loss, calculation of average related concepts, simple and compound interest, time and work, speed, distance, and time-related problems, etc.
  1. No Hostel Accommodation will be provided to the admitted candidates.
