The office of the Controller of Examinations, Jamia Millia Islamia, invites applications for JMI BA History admission under JMI Regular Courses, Jamia Millia Islamia for session 2026-27.

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) started a new course for Undergraduate (UG) students. i.e., BA History. To fill out the JMI BA History 2026 form you can watch the video or visit jmicoe.in

JMI initiated BA Historyprogram, a Regular Course. You can fill out the form on the JMI website jmicoe.in. The fee for the application form is Rs 1000, which is non-refundable.

The eligibility criteria, test duration, number of seats, entrance test pattern, syllabus, Exam Center, and fee structure are as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Entrance Test of 1 hour 30 minutes (100 MCQ of 1 mark each) covering the following areas:

The syllabus of BA History is divided into 2 sections. Each section carries Different marks. There were a total of 100 questions for the BA History in which 80 Question were from Indian History and World History and 20 MCQ of General Awareness and Current Affairs.

About the Program’s Prospectus: BA History is a program that focuses on the study of Indian History and World History along with their Historical Implecation. The program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers in fields such as education, translation, journalism, publishing, and other related fields.

There shall be one objective-type paper of 100 Marks with the following components:
It has two parts i.e., Part A and Part B which contains 2 sections

  • Part A consists of 80 multiple-choice questions on Indian and world History.
    • Each questions consist of 1 mark
  • Part B – Consists of General Awareness and Current Affairs.
  • Maximum marks: 20
  1. Admission to the BA History program will be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. A merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be shortlisted for counselling and document verification.
  2. Hostel Accommodation will be provided to the outstation candidates on a limited basis. The hostel fee will be around Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per annum.
  3. The university offers scholarships to meritorious students. Candidates can apply for scholarships during the admission process.
  4. A common entrance test of the BA History program will be conducted irrespective of the medium and subject opted by the candidate. The entrance test paper will be printed in three languages – English, Hindi, and Urdu.
